Ian has completed four short films on the early work of British sculptor William Pye. Excerpts from the film series are now online to view, and the whole sculpture programme is available for screening.

At Brighton Modular Meet, Ian presented six of his abstract films, and demonstrated a couple of Hellitrons to illustrate how he makes his unique soundtracks. Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, Sussex University, 1st July.
Super 8 Sculpture Films by Ian Helliwell - a whole programme of Helli-shorts spanning 1996-2017, screened as part of a long weekend of small gauge movies. Cube Cinema, Bristol, 7th June.
